Where can you receive a Hodges’ Blue Ribbon?

One  answer is the Annual East Bay Chowder Cook-Off. Every year the best amateur chowder cooks compete for blue ribbons and bragging rights at the Little Compton Community Center’s Chowder Cook-off.

This is a great event. It not only breaks up a long cold New England winter by getting the community together but the proceeds go to a good cause – the community center. This year they will be purchasing a commercial stove for the community center.

Christine Merriman actually took top honors by winning “Best in Show”, “People’s Choice” and “Best Seafood Chowder”. Other winners were: George Morash who won “Best Clam Chowder”, Lee Wyatt who won “Best Vegetable Chowder” and Roger Guillemette who won “Most Creative Chowder”.

We love to hear these kinds of stories from our customers. Send them in! We’d love to post them.
